The Travel Institute of the Pacific, one of the nation's oldest and most respected training organizations, specializes in Travel, Hospitality, Food&Beverage and Culinary Arts studies. The Institute was founded in 1974 to provide employers with graduates who have practical, real-life job skills and students with a solid foundation for a lifetime career.

As tourism and hospitality continue to become the dominant service industries worldwide, the demand for properly trained individuals has increased dramatically. To keep pace, T.I.P. has pioneered the development of practical programs emphasizing job competency and work performance. We realize that acquiring real life skills which can be taken directly from the classroom and immediately applied to the job is fundamental to a great beginning in your new career.

Over the years the Institute has grown from an original 23 students to our current enrollment of 400 in all programs. We have graduated thousands of individuals who have gone on to work in all areas of the tourism industry. While our size has increased, our commitment to providing students with quality training programs has remained constant.

T.I.P is licensed by the Hawaii Department of Education and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). It is also authorized by the U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization to enroll alien students and is approved by the Office of the State Approving Agency for Veterans Training.

The Institute attracts an international student body and graduates are employed in more than 20 foreign countries as well as throughout the United States. Courses are constantly reviewed and updated to insure tDDShat the needs of our students are properly addressed and that the goals of our graduates can be readily achieved.
