Visitor Industry Management Training
Designed and developed over a 15 year period by travel industry professionals, the VIM program offered by Hawaii's Travel Institute of the Pacific is unique in its scope and depth of concentration. Going well beyond the theoretical aspects of the field, VIM is empirical and practical in its approach. Through a combination of work modules and relational perspectives, Hawaii students are trained for all levels of the principle sectors of the visitor industry. The VIM program is divided into two terms of specialized concentration. Each term will introduce another facet of the Visitor Industry, providing a comprehensive melding of its major segments. Students completing the VIM program develop a solid foundation for successful Visitor Industry Management careers.
Graduates are prepared for positions as entry level Hotel Front Desk Clerks, Hotel Night Auditors, Cashiers, Executive Managers, Reservation Managers, Front Desk Managers, Travel Agents, Airline Ticket Agents, Airline Reservationists, Tour Coordinators, Tour Escorts, Travel Agency Managers and Airline Reservation Supervisors.
A diploma will be issued to students successfully completing this course (900 Hours).
Average class size - 10 students. Normal time for completion: DAY - 45 weeks EVENING - 45 weeks.

Visitor Industry Management Training Facilities in Hawaii
The Travel Institute of the Pacific occupies the 11th floor of Hawaii's Interstate Building, centrally located on the main bus routes between downtown Honolulu and Waikiki. Classrooms are fully carpeted and air conditioned, with panoramic views of the city and ocean. In order to insure individualized instruction and personalized attention, all classrooms are designed for limited enrollment. In addition, the Institute maintains an extensive reference and periodical library, a computer center with live on-line American Airline SABRE CRTs, United Airline APOLLO, IBM PCs, and Computerized Hotel Front Desk Systems. From a staff of industry professionals to industry standard computerized course materials, the Institute is committed to maximizing each and every student's learning potential.
